Solar Rooftop System

Solar PV is used for electricity generation. Solar panels generate significant electricity hence find applications in different sectors. Rooftop PV systems are one of the popular systems which use solar panels as the main component. Solar panels generate Direct Current which is further converted into alternating current with the help of inverter and used for day to day energy needs. There are three types of such systems.

Rooftop On-Grid PV System

In Daytime, Solar panels generate electricity which is either used in the home for fulfilling energy needs or can be sent to the grid if not needed in the home.

On-Grid Rooftop Solar System comes with a special meter called Netmeter which keeps track of incoming electricity from the grid and outgoing electricity to grid (Solar panel generation Sent to Grid).

In Nighttime when Solar panels are not generating electricity, the energy needs are fulfilled by energy coming from the grid.

This type of Rooftop Solar System can curtail a big amount in your electricity bill. Also, it can earn some bucks for your pocket if your electricity needs are less.

On-Grid

Rooftop Off-Grid PV System

In Daytime, Solar panels generate electricity which is not only used in the home for fulfilling energy needs but also used for charging the battery bank.

In Nighttime when solar panels are not generating electricity, the energy needs are fulfilled by energy from the battery bank.

This type of Rooftop Solar System makes you grid-independent for fulling your energy needs. This type of system is useful in areas where there are frequent electricity cut-offs and no grid connectivity.

off-grid

Rooftop Hybrid PV System

This system is a combination of both Rooftop On-grid and off-grid PV system.

Here in daytime Solar panels generate electricity which is used in the home for fulfilling energy needs or charging the battery bank or can be sent to the grid.

In Nighttime when Solar panels are not generating electricity, the energy needs are fulfilled by energy coming from battery bank or grid.

In case of grid failure at any time i.e. Daytime or Night-time, the energy needs are fulfilled by energy from the battery bank.

The advantage of this system is that in any situation your energy needs have been fulfilled. This type of system is useful in areas where there are frequent electricity cut-offs, particularly in rural areas.
